to me as the supplier and Alan Seviour, their renewable energy expert, came to the site to discuss solutions with me. He informed me of the grants available and since he brought his laptop with him, he immediately applied on my behalf and got the grants. The first part of the project was to drill two 60 metre boreholes at the front of the property. The diameters were about 30 cm, so they were not obtrusive and are now covered and not at all visible.
The installation of the system went very well. I have engineered Oak flooring throughout and it provided a good basis for the piping necessary to c arry the brine for heating. I had one brief problem in the beginning, but when
I told Ace Energy about it they sent an engineer immediately. The problem was solved within an hour and I have had constant heat and hot water since then. This has been during the current cold spell where temperatures at night have reached -10° C, so it has been an excellent test of the system.
I have applied for a ‘feed-in tariff’ which has been implemented. I also have the ability to monitor the activity on my computer using a wireless system. It is very reassuring to see that everything is working as well as to feel the comfort of the even under floor heat. I was apprehensive about installing this complex system since I am an elderly widow, but Ace Energy has been very helpful and understanding during my ‘settling in’ period.
I would recommend this heating solution and my equipment providers without hesitation.
